Artist book on the works of Mariko Tsunoka. As a nod to the traditional Japanese influences in Tsunoka's paintings, the catalogue's chapter titles and headlines as well, as the title on the spine, follow the Japanese way of reading. The pages are not numbered and there is no list of content. Instead, five chapters structure the book, keeping the focus on the works. White pages and black to white gradients support Tsunoka's examination of existence and non-existence, room and space in painting and design.

80 pages, 190 x 240 mm, self published edition of 200. Metallic screen print cover on Gmund Bauhaus Black paper.

Concept in collaboration with Mariko Tsunoka. Text by Malte Kröger, screen printing by Steve Viezens. Photography: Thomas Bergner
